How text message reminders work on Compliance Reminder
What are SMS notifications?
Compliance Reminder can send automated text message reminders to your mobile phone about upcoming compliance deadlines — license renewals, permit expirations, contract dates, and more. SMS notifications are available to users on Professional and Enterprise plans.
How to opt in
SMS notifications are disabled by default. To enable them, log in to your account and go to your Profile page. In the SMS Notifications section:
- Enter your mobile phone number (US numbers only)
- Toggle Enable SMS notifications to on
- Review the consent notice that appears
- Click Save

Receive a text alongside each email reminder
By enabling SMS notifications, you consent to receive automated text messages from Compliance Reminder about your upcoming deadlines. Message frequency varies based on your reminders. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
Message details
- Sender: Messages are sent from a dedicated Compliance Reminder phone number
- Frequency: One message per reminder notification. Frequency varies based on how many reminders you configure and how many advance notice days you set
- Content: Each message includes the name of the item due, the due date, and days remaining
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier
- Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

How to opt out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time in two ways:
- Reply STOP — Text STOP to any message from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- Profile settings — Log in, go to your Profile page, toggle SMS notifications off, and save.
To re-enable SMS after opting out, toggle SMS back on in your profile settings and save.
